WHO IS YOUR IDEAL CLIENT?
I love working with people who are genuinely madly in love and looking for someone to capture their emotion-filled Wedding day in a creative and artistic way, with a lot of attention to detail. I work best with people who are relaxed and trust me to do my ‘thang’. I keep in regular touch during the run up to your Wedding day so that we get to know each other and build a rapport. I’m usually one of the ‘gang’, helping to zip up dresses and pin button holes by the time the big day arrives!!
WHY IS PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY SO EXPENSIVE?
I can’t tell you how many people who were not my clients have come up to me after their wedding and said, “My biggest regret is skimping on the photography”.. There is a huge amount of time, education, equipment and experience that goes into producing images for you, much beyond the time spent with you on your wedding day. For generations to come, your one of a kind album and photographs are what you will be able to hand down to your grandchildren. It’s the tactile keepsake of your memories, and it’s worth much more than any dollar amount you could ever spend.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE GET?
As a very loose and general rule you will receive a minimum of 400 photographs for 6 hours of coverage and 600 for 12 hours of coverage. For Engagement shoots, a minimum of 75. Every wedding is different and unique in size, in moments and in opportunity and it’s impossible to quote an absolute figure that works across all possible scenarios. In reality, you will probably get lots more than this! I don’t put a cap on the maximum and, under any circumstance, deliver every image that I know you will love – even the occasional photo that may ‘technically’ not quite make the grade, but if the moment is special, it will be included. I promise I won’t leave anything out. You will get the best images from all that I photograph throughout your day.
WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
I aim to get a few ‘Sneak Peak’ images to you within a few days of your wedding day. Over the next 4-6 weeks I take my time to master your images, prepare your gallery, create your slideshow and design your album, if required.
DO YOU GIVE OUT 'RAW' (UNEDITED) FILES?
No. I won’t. My editing is a HUGE part of my art and unique style. It’s half of the end result I deliver. Giving out my unedited files would be like a chef giving out uncooked ingredients to his customers. No one wants raw chicken! I promise I’ll deliver all the photos you’ll want, and if for some reason you think I missed something, just ask.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU CAN'T BE AT OUR WEDDING?
For this to even be an issue, I would have to be in a near death/uncontrollable situation. I value my couples and their big day and if something out of my control came up that prevented me from being at your wedding, I collaborate with other photographers who shoot with me and my place would be taken by a trusted associate photographer, whose work is inline with my own and you will love. If possible images would still be edited by myself, in my own style.
WHAT IF WE HAVE TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE OUR WEDDING DATE?
If you have already booked your date with me, and for some reason have to cancel or reschedule your wedding, the retainer is non-refundable. In order to book your new date with me a new retainer will need to be paid. Please understand I’m not trying to steal your money. I do this because once a wedding is in my calendar I’m counting on that money to pay my bills that month. I’ve also quite possibly rejected other brides’ who have inquired for that same date.
CAN WE HAVE A PAYMENT PLAN?
Sure! I require a retainer and a signed agreement to hold your date, and the balance is due on or before your wedding day. I’m totally happy for you to spread your payments between that time – however works best for you. If you’d like to set something up, just let me know!
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH MORE THAN ONE WEDDING IN A DAY?
Nope. In fact I have a limit on the amount of Weddings I will shoot in a year, to ensure that my couples get my very best attention.
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?
Sure do! I absolutely love travelling and being inspired by new places and cultures. I’ll happily go anywhere you invite me – especially if it’s warm in the winter!!
ARE TRAVEL COSTS INCLUDED IN YOUR WEDDING COLLECTIONS?
Absolutely! First and foremost – BE YOU! Wear something you would normally wear, that you feel comfortable in. Don’t feel like you have to dress up if that’s not your thing. If you wear something you feel awkward and uncomfortable in, it will show in your images. Just be the unique ‘you’ that you are, and if you have any questions, I’m always here to help!
WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO WEAR FOR OUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION! CAN YOU HELP?
For UK Weddings, travel is included to and from locations within a 15 mile radius. For locations further afield, mileage is charged at 45p per mile and accommodation, if required, at £150 per night. For International Weddings, Flights, Transport & Accommodation costs will be additional. These will be arranged and agreed on an individual / per circumstance basis.
